THE COLORADO DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL TO WELCOME THOUSANDS OF GUESTS TO EXPLORE ASIA and THE PACIFIC IN JUST ONE WEEKEND
“NAMASTE!” “APA KHABAR!” “MABUHAY!”
There are millions of ways to say hello. “Namaste,” “Apa Khabar” and “Mabuhay” are common greetings in the three countries that will be featured at this year’s Colorado Dragon Boat Festival’s Explore Asia!: Indonesia, India, and the Philippines. Making its wildly successful debut last year, Explore Asia!, presented by the Colorado Council on the Arts, is a cultural village setup that offers Festival attendees an intimate look into three distinct Asian Pacific communities. From exhibits, oral histories and storytelling to cultural demonstrations, authentic cuisine and traditional dances and other performances by native-born singers, festival goers will be fully immersed in Asian Pacific culture.
