Your $10 can help the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival's
10th anniversary celebration!

The state of the economy is challenging for everybody -- including non-profit organizations. Because of the current climate, charitable donations and funding from grants and foundations has dropped to new and unexpected lows. But that hasn't stopped CDBF from continuing to bring you the largest and most diverse Asian community event between Chicago and the West Coast, and to make each festival bigger, better and more exciting. This year we're celebrating our 10th anniversary, and hope you'll join us once again, on July 24 and 25 at Sloan's Lake Park for thrilling dragon boat races, wonderful live performances from the local Asian, Pacific Islander and Asian American communities, and fabulous food and gift items in our Taste of Asia food court and Asian Marketplace.

As we look forward to our next decade, we know that the country's financial challenges will affect the non-profit community for some time yet to come. So, we're reaching out to you, our fans and supporters, with a "10 for 10" fundraising campaign. For 2010 -- our 10th year -- our goal is to raise $20,000 from donations as small as $10.

Here's how it works:

People often ask us how they can help the festival. It's easy: We partner with a great, Denver-based non-profit fundation called GivingFirst.org, which is unique in that it passes along 100% of your donation on to its partners, including the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival. So if you donate $10, CDBF receives $10. If you donate $100, CDBF receives $100. Your donation is safe and secure and just takes a couple of clicks. Every donation helps, no matter the amount.

We'll track the progress of our first-ever "10 for '10" campaign here on this page, so the dragon boats above will race towards the finish line goal, throughout the festival, and beyond.
