RACE REGISTRATION OPENS
It's that time of the year again -- time to register a team in the 2008 Colorado Dragon Boat Races! At 12:01 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, you'll be able to submit your team for this year's competition. There are more divisions this year than ever before, including adult and youth races, and competitive and recreational.
We're proud to announce that the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival has been chosen to host the 2008 American Dragon Boat Association Regional Races. So we're inviting national and international dragon boat teams to participate in the competitive division races on a 500-meter course.
CDBF and the Colorado Dragon Boat Race Association (CDBRA) plan to actively recruit local paddlers to form competitive teams. Our goal is to establish dragon boat racing as part of Colorado's thriving recreational sports landscape.

Community Pickup Team Information
The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival again is proud to offer adults not affiliated with a sponsoring organization the opportunity to participate in the races by becoming members of a Community Pickup Team. Click here to find out more about the team and here for how to register.

Competitive divisions will consist of ~500m races in BuK-style (Hong Kong) boats and teams must have or arrange for their own coxswains. Competition will consist of two seeding time trial races on Saturday and at least two races on Sunday to determine the winners.
The Novice and Youth divisions will be a double-elimination bracket on a ~250m course using flag-catching boats.
