  • Riasat Alam

    Aerospace Engineering, BS​

    I was born in Dallas Texas. I didn't speak English until I was five because Bengali was my first language. My senior year in High School, I represented the State of Texas at a national tournament for rugby. I went to college at The University of Texas at Austin where I studied Aerospace Engineering. I played collegiate rugby, joined a fraternity, and was a part of a technical Aerospace Club. After graduating, I came out to Denver to work for Lockheed Martin. I'm currently part of a Rugby Club that's going to a national tournament.

  • Elizabeth Franz, Mediator

    Elizabeth is an extensively trained Inclusive Model Mediator who has been practicing for over 7 years. She is committed to providing a neutral, non-judgmental, confidential, and voluntary mediation process for all mediation participants. Elizabeth uses her conflict resolution, facilitation, and communication skills to train mediators, help find solutions to their toughest problems, and support difficult conversations. She is also committed to serving her local community. Currently, she is the Director of the Professionals of Color Network, and serves on the Cemetery Commission of Broomfield County and Platform4Women - a local non-profit supporting marginalized women. She specializes in presentation and training on diversity, collaboration, problem solving, and active listening. Elizabeth is always in pursuit of learning skills, acquiring knowledge, and building relationships. She lives in Denver, Colorado where she enjoys salsa and kizomba dancing.

    I recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Certificate in Business Foundations and Minor in Economics. I currently work for Lockheed Martin as a manufacturing engineer. My parents are immigrants from Taiwan and moved to the states to attend graduate school. After graduating, they moved to Houston, Texas, where my older sister and I were born. In my free time I work as a student teaching assistant and remain active in various extracurricular programs. This includes the Texas Wranglers, a spirit group focused on community service in Austin. As their President, I lead 85 college students who serve the school and local community. I currently also work part-time as a tennis coach at Life Time Fitness.

    I was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to CO with my family at the age of 11. I graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Economics and now I run a financial services practice in partnership with New York Life. Ever since I was young, I noticed that my parents were always struggling financially despite working a ridiculous number of hours. It inspired me to help them out with their financial planning. Now, I help families and business owners with financial planning in a risk-managed and tax-efficient manner by utilizing New York Life's patented wealth accumulation strategy.

    I am from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and have always had a passion for helping others. I received my undergraduate degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. Afterwards, I pursued a Doctorate of Chiropractic at Sherman College of Chiropractic and graduated at the beginning of this year. In July, I started my private practice in Aurora. Outside of serving patients, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, tutoring, and reading.

I currently work at Adams County Human Services as a Community Support Specialist and am an active member with Adam County’s Diversity and Inclusion Council promoting awareness of cultural diversity within the organization and in the community.

    I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. My wife Roselynn, and I have two wonderful children: Camilla and Natalie (9 and 5 years old). We relocated to Colorado in 2017 and are loving every bit of it. I have worked at Comcast for over 12 years. I've held various positions within my tenure and still aspire to grow with the company. I currently serve as an associate to the Rocky Mountain Chapter Board of Directors of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). I have also previously served its Golden Gate Chapter in the Bay Area.

    I graduated from the University of Denver in June as a Finance Major in Finance and a International Relations Minor. Currently, I work as an anti-money laundering analyst for Promontory Financial. My previous occupation was a bicycle mechanic and pedicab manufacturer. Bikes, photography, and hiking are some of my favorite pastimes; I also like to play some video games on my PS4. My friends and I run a start-up company called KT4 Performance. We are in the process of getting our first bank loan and undergoing massive growth - this is our third year of operations. I spend most of my free time hanging out with my business partners and friends while working on our company at the same time.

    Trungdung Tran is a mom to an incredible 16 year old, daughter of inspiring parents who lived through the Vietnam War, and considers herself incredibly blessed to be living in a free country. Before immigrating to the US in 1995, Trungdung lived in Vietnam. She is currently working as an accountant and is actively participating in a Buddhist youth group. In her spare time, Trungdung enjoys reading and spending time with her loved ones.

    I recently moved to Colorado from Vancouver, Canada to be closer to my husband’s family. In a few weeks, a fish is likely joining me, my husband, 6 year old daughter, and cat! Our whole family enjoys karate. I love sushi. I also enjoy improv and architectural design. Growing up, I moved frequently between North America and Asia. I’ve lived in places such as Pittsburg, Nashville, Jackson, TN, Chicago, Winnipeg, Toronto, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. My moving days are behind me now! We expect Colorado to be our home for the foreseeable future. Professionally, I am a lawyer who contracts with the Alternate Defense Counsel as a legal researcher - I practice criminal defense for indigent clients. I graduated from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in Chicago and I also have a Masters of Law from the University of British Columbia.
