2024 Dragon Boat Race Teams

RPT aims to promote the sport of dragon boating as a lifelong enjoyment sport in the state of Colorado. Together, we strive to foster the dragon boat community through outreach, education, team building, and racing.

Agua Libre is made up of parents, students, and faculty from Denver Language School. We've been racing at CDBF for over 12 years strong and we don't intend on stopping anytime soon! Paddles up!

Team representing Japan America Society of Colorado, a Colorado 501c3 with a mission to expand people to people relationships between Colorado and Japan by serving as a bridge to connect via business, education and cultural opportunities. We are dedicated to promoting positive U.S.-Colorado-Japan relations through the development of civic, business, and individual relationships.

Phantoms paddlers have been competing in the CDBF since 2003 & our paddlers were the first to bring dragon boats to Colorado on a permanent basis.

We train year-round, and regularly compete both here and in other venues. The crew is led by Michael Boyd, certified DBC Level II Coach, and member of the Team USA Senior C crew that swept the 2019 Dragon Boat World Championships in Thailand, winning 4 gold medals.

Denver Chinese School (DCS), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization was founded in 1998. DCS is committed to provide the most comprehensive Chinese language and cultural education to students from Pre-K through high schoolers and adults at Highlands Ranch and Lakewood Campuses.

Most of our teachers are native mandarin Chinese speakers and certified full-time Chinese teachers at various public or charter schools. DCS has successfully hosted the annual Colorado Chinese New Year Celebration since 2003.

Pointy End Forward is United Launch Alliance's (ULA) Dragon Boat Team. Coordinated by the Asian and Pacific Islander's diversity and inclusion group (API SCENE) at ULA, this is Pointy End Forward's third year competing in the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival.

Pointy End Forward is excited to compete and represent ULA, a company that builds rockets and launches payloads that no other company can do with 100 percent mission.

Originally founded in the early 2000s, CU Denver's Dragonboat team was unfortunately among the many organizations put on pause due to the pandemic. After a shortened season in 2023 to test out the waters (literally!) for interest in bringing the team back, CU Denver is returning in 2024 for its first full post-pandemic season!!
