Elizabeth Franz
Founder/Principal Mediator, Humanz Mediate
2012, that's when Elizabeth Franz started mediating in Baltimore City. It's been the joy and honor of her life as a local Coloradan to bring her experience to CU Boulder. She completed her undergraduate degree in Peace Studies at Goucher College. She is forever in the process of the most important learning from the people she serves, her colleagues, and the communities she's been an active part of.
Elizabeth has been trained in the Inclusive, Transformative, and Inclusive models of mediation. She designed the Humanz Universal Mediation Model (HUMM) and she continues to study and practice the wide range of mediation models and tools. In addition, Elizabeth has been trained in litigation, negotiation, arbitration, facilitation, Restorative Justice and evaluation Alternative/Appropriate Dispute Resolution processes (ADR).
She started Humanz Mediate, www.humanzmediate.com, in 2018 and has been leading innovation in the mediation space through mediation tech enablement, streamlined operations, research and standardization of mediation processes. Throughout her career she's been in every role involved with mediation: mediator, mediation participant, case manager, mediation process designer, trainer, quality control and mediation program designer. She is passionate about opening the door to new mediators and ensuring they get ample and quality opportunities to learn, apply, and grow into their mediation practice.
