Kanitha Heng Snow
Writer, Film Director, Consultant
Kanitha Heng Snow is a writer, film director, and storytelling consultant with extensive social impact experience. Based in Colorado, Kanitha collaborates with regional and national organizations focused on economic development, entrepreneurship, and education, particularly women and BIPOC communities. Her experience spans organizations such as TechHubNow!, the Greater Washington Partnership, Energize Colorado, Colorado Universities Innovation Council (CUIC), and the University of Denver. Additionally, Kanitha serves as the Executive Director of the Colgate Writers Conference.
Kanitha's service work includes serving as board chair of The Village Institute, a nonprofit that supports refugee and immigrant mothers, children, and young adults with childcare and workforce training programs, and as a board advisor to the Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network (CACEN), which champions AANHPI communities through cultural exchange and education. Kanitha's memoir, I Am My Mother’s Mother: A Story of Birth, Death, and Reincarnation, and her first documentary feature are currently in development.
She holds a BA from Colgate University and an MFA from Columbia University.
