CEO Asian Girls Ignite

Joanne Liu (she/her) is the Co-Founder and CEO of Asian Girls Ignite. As a lifelong educator, Joanne discovered her love for teaching while growing up in the suburbs of Boston, MA. Her journey has taken her through a variety of impactful roles, including special education teacher, middle school Assistant Principal, non-profit Director of Operations, and working with first-generation college students at the University of Colorado Boulder. As a first-generation college graduate herself, Joanne earned her BA in English & American Literature and Secondary Education from Brandeis University, as well as an MS in Organizational Leadership from the University of Colorado Boulder. Dedicated to community service, she serves on the Board of Directors for Colorado Asian Pacific United and the Denver Language School and is the Founder of Mile High Asian Food Week. In her free time, Joanne enjoys Asian food, BTS, Korean dramas, and spending time with her husband, two kids, and their dog, Panda.
